Pixar's "Finding Dory," sequel to the box office hit "Finding Nemo," is shaping up to be a star-studded event.

According to Screen Rant, two new characters will be joining the already-talented cast, which includes returning voices of Ellen Degeneres (Dory), Albert Brooks (Marlin) and William Dafoe (Gill).

The new actors lending their voices will be Ty Burrell from "Modern Family" and Kaitlin Olson from "It's always Sunny in Philadelphia."

Burrell will be playing a snub-nosed beluga whale and Olson will be playing a whale shark, both of which have been living in an aquatic refuge for some time.

Some insights were also given about the characters by the voice actors themselves, explaining why they ended up in an aquatic refuge in the first place.

Burrell states that his character has problems with his own sonar capabilities, which makes it difficult for him to swim straight at times, specially at night time.

Meanwhile, Olson states that two are friends but they sometimes don't always get along. Reportedly, Bailey (Burrell's character) is always making fun of Destiny (Olson's character), calling her a whale instead of the shark she is. On the other hand, Destiny keeps making fun of Bailey's head.

Slash Film reports that Dory will encounter the two during her adventure where she has to deal with memory loss to find her parents.

The unofficial synopsis of "Finding Dory" is stating that the film will be set six months after the events of "Finding Nemo." It finds that Dory has become neighbors to Marlin and Nemo. However, one night, she suddenly remembers having parents and begins a long journey to find out where they have been all this time.

While it's been over 12 years since "Finding Nemo" debuted in theaters, filmmakers are hoping that "Finding Dory" can recreate the magic the previous movie gave to the audience.

While the plot is seemingly nothing that audiences haven't seen before, experts are saying that it will be the strength of the movie's characters that will make the film a success.

"Finding Dory" will be directed by Pixar veteran Andrew Stanton and is set for debut on June 17, 2016.

The film's trailer was showcased back in November at the Ellen DeGeneres Show. Check it out below!
