The third DLC for Borderlands 2 has leaked thanks to a set of new trophies for the Playstation 3 version of the game. Known as 'Sir Hammerlock's Big Game Hunt', the expansion will center around the charismatic, and let's not forget gentlemanly, amputee that players meet in the main single player campaign.
IGN reports that one of the trophies is titled "The Fall of Nakayama," while the others unlock upon completing each side mission and finding every new location.
Much like Big Game Hunt, each of the two prior expansions were unceremoniously unveiled before developer Gearbox had the chance to officially make any announcements.
Gearbox remains tight-lipped about Big Game Hunt, but given the rate that the studio has been pumping out new DLC, don't expect too long of a wait.
The first pack, "Captain Scarlett and Her Pirate's Booty," transplanted players to a new setting called Oasis, and featured a new seraph crystal based currency. Other additions include a hovering sand skiff vehicle and the obligatory set of new enemies.
Mr. Torque's Campaign of Carnage debuted as Gearbox's second offering for Season Pass owners. Similar to the original Borderland's DLC Mad Moxxi's Underdome Riot, 'Carnage' features arena-based challenges and adds yet another currency to the mix called Torgue Tokens.
Thus far, Gearbox has refrained from raising the level cap for players, but perhaps Sir Hammerlock holds the remedy for that particular ailment.
