Sheamus is currently the top heel in the WWE right now, a position he inherited when Seth Rollins fell to a knee injury that will keep him out of the scene for some months.
The Celtic Warrior hasn’t exactly been a top draw though he does deserve the credit of playing out the heel at the finest way he can. Like it or not, his role has played a role in helping boot up Roman Reigns to stardom, something that went in full display at WWE TLC.
It isn’t clear how his career will go right now though the only thing certain is that he will continue to feud with Reigns perhaps until the WWE Royal Rumble which takes place on January 24, 2016.
However, a pay-per-view that any WWE star would want to be in is Wrestlemania 32. Right now, booked matches are sketchy though there have been some already in mention.
That includes the one that could involve Roman Reigns and Triple H, John Cena vs. The Undertaker and unclear plans on whether it would be Brock Lesnar facing Bray Wyatt (via PWMania) or Bill Goldberg (via Forbes).
With injuries plaguing the WWE as of late, there are a lot of changes in store. Sheamus is hoping he could be blessed as one of the stars who could perform that night.
If he does get the booking, he says via Baltimore’s 98 Rock Radio that he would love to have a match against Brock Lesnar.
“I’d love to face Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. I would love nothing more. I would love nothing more than to scrap like that with Brock. I think it would be amazing. It’s what I’ve always talked about and wanted to do for years,” says Sheamus via Wrestlingnews.co.
Right now, seeing Sheamus vs. Lesnar as a match for Wrestlemania 32 looks like a long shot. Wrestlemania 32 is all about making the best possible matches and when one talks about the “Beast Incarnate” it would have to be something special.
Ranking Sheamus with previously linked adversaries, the Celtic Warrior may not be the top choice. In fact, he could be the third one behind Goldberg and Bray Wyatt though the WWE creative team can easily change all that.
In all, a Sheamus vs. Brock Lesnar match could make sense if the WWE creative team is able to create a compelling storyline that would draw the interest of the WWE Universe. The last thing that the WWE wants to do right now is to create a match that wouldn’t make sense.
