Rihanna’s ‘ANTI’ Release Date Delayed? [News, Track List & Rumors]

It appears fans will not be hearing Rihanna's "ANTI" album released anytime soon.

Rihanna's album release date has been speculated for several months now. Rumors became wilder last month when the 27-year-old singer launched the album's promotional website, ANTIdiary, at the AMAs.

As reported by Billboard, during the first two quarters of the year, the Barbadian singer hinted heavily on the release of "ANTI." Add to that last month's launch of the ANTIdiary website and announcement of the ANTI world tour with Big Sean, The Weeknd and Travi$ Scott, it seemed that there can be no doubt to it. Rihanna's "ANTI" was set to arrive soon.

However, even as fans expected the imminent "ANTI" release, a new interview with singer Sia Furler, who is collaborating with Rihanna, reveals an unfortunate news.

Furler was behind Rihanna's hit song "Diamonds" in 2012, according to Gulf News.

In an interview with BBC Radio 2's Jo Whiley, Furler said Rihanna isn't releasing "ANTI" anytime soon since R&B songstress hasn't finished with the highly-anticipated album yet. In fact, Rihanna is still on the lookout for new songs to be added into the eighth studio album, according to a report by aceshowbiz.com.

"The other night she came over and listened to half of 25 songs I played her because she's still looking for songs for her new album," said the Australian singer-songwriter.

"She was there to listen to songs and see if there was anything that she was into. It was a business meeting for sure. She took four [songs] but I don't know if they'll end up [on the album]," she added.

In other Rihanna "ANTI" news, another episode or video teaser has been released on Rihanna's "ANTI diaRY" campaign for Samsung. Titled "Room 5," the latest episode is directed by French artist Woodkid, and will feature another segment in Rihanna's career, according to Highsnobiety.

"Room 5" shows Rihanna in a bathtub filled with murky water inside a room where outside, veiled figures outside want her attention. Many reportedly claim that the latest installment on ANTIdiaRY is a point in time when Rihanna became overwhelmed with her life, particularly by the media. When the singer submerges in the water, she realizes that silence is a tough commodity in her career.

However, as Highsnobiety notes, fans would just have to figure out the message, just like other ANTIdiaRY video entries.
