Fans of the “Fifty Shades” series may be delighted to know that there is a huge possibility that Ellie Goulding will return for more songs in the upcoming movie, “Fifty Shades Darker.”
There are reports that the film, “Fifty Shades of Grey,” gained much popularity because of Goulding’s hit song, “Love Me Like You Do.” The 2015 movie, directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson, was nominated for the Golden Globe Awards, MovieNewsGuide revealed. Goulding was also nominated for her song in the film. She can also further compete for the Oscar award if her song gets qualified, which will certainly give her career a bigger boost.
The second movie in the series, “Fifty Shades Darker,” is about to begin production early in 2016 and fans expect Goulding to return for the sequel. There is still no official confirmation at the moment.
Based on a report by Shortlist, James Dornan, who plays the sadistic billionaire Christian Grey in the film franchise, told the media that it was his wife, Amelia Warner, who actually helped him land the starring role. Dornan shared that his wife was very understanding about his role in the film and the production requirements. Warner allegedly did not object when Dornan said that they had to temporarily stay in Vancouver, Canada for filming and that he would be naked in the follow-up movie.
Hollywood Life revealed that Dornan will reportedly be doing a full frontal scene in the next movie for $1.5 million. A source shared that the actor was offered a $1.5 million bonus to go fully naked in “Fifty Shades Darker.” If Dornan is still hesitant, the producers might give more. The producers assured Dornan that the exposure will be more of a brief tease, instead of an overt scene. He is said to have some creative control on how the scene will be sown.
“That’s just a starting figure. Jamie would be crazy not to consider it.” the source told Star Magazine.
Dornan and his co-star Dakota Johnson (Anastasia Steele) asked for a raise after the success of the first movie. They actors were only paid $250,000” for their roles in “Fifty Shades of Grey,” but have garnered the right to a salary boost after the film proceeded to rake in over $569 million at the world box office.
“Fifty Shades Darker” is set to launch on Feb. 10, 2017. More updates and details are expected in the coming months.
