Aside from their director, "Fifty Shades Darker" might be gearing up to introduce a new cast.

According to an article by Movie Pilot, there are rumors that "Pretty Little Liars" star Lucy Hale might take the role of Leila Williams in the second instalment of the "Fifty Shades of Grey" movie. The character Leila Williams will play a vital role in Anastasia's and Christian's relationship. Being Grey's ex-submissive, she is likely to cause some problems between the couple.

There have been a number or rumors as to who would be taking up the role of Williams. Katie Cassidy, who is currently cast in the TV series Arrow, was speculated to play the role. However, recently, there are whispers that Lucy Hale will play the character.

Charlize Theron is also rumored to be part of the cast. If this is true, she will take the role of Elena Lincoln, the person who is responsible for Christian's BDSM addiction. In the book, she seduced Grey when he was just 15 years old and will be back to cause trouble in Anastasia's and Christian's relationship.

However, these are just speculations and no other cast has been added to the current list of actors and actresses to star in "Fifty Shades Darker". Those who have been confirmed include Rita Ora, Eloise Mumford, Max Martini, Luke Grimes and Victor Rasuk.

Meanwhile, the production has already hired director James Foley to take over the film. This is after "Fifty Shades of Grey" director Sam Taylor-Johnson declined to return on set to direct the second instalment. Taylor-Johnson turned down the project after revealing how difficult it was working with E.L. James. She described it as an "incredibly painful process."

However, a report from Melty stated that the producers and writers of "Fifty Shades Darker" are confident about Foley and what he can offer for the next film. In fact, Foley was picked as the director of choice for the two upcoming "Fifty Shades" movies. The director reportedly won over other choices like Mark Pellington, Rebecca Thomas and Tanya Wexler.

Producer of the film Dana Brunetti made it clear that they are confident about Foley and what he envisions for the succeeding films.

"James' thoughts on the first movie and where he saw the continuation going really blew us away," she said in an interview.

Well, fans are definitely eager to find out what Foley has to offer for the "Fifty Shades of Grey" sequel. The movie is expected to be out in February 2017.
