At 27 weeks pregnant, Napa resident Christina Litle is doing as a pregnant woman what most people can't do in general. She's dancing like a hip-hop star.
Litle is a mother of two who photographs weddings and teaches in Napa High School's dance department. On Oct. 8, posted video of a dance routine to her Facebook page before putting it on YouTube, where it garnered over 400,000 views in less than two months.
While most responses have been positive, Litle said a few commenters have voiced concern about how the rhythmic movements affect her unborn baby's health. In a Facebook post, she insisted neither she nor the baby are getting hurt.
"There's this stigma about women being active during pregnancy. A lot of people think you have to be sedentary, but the truth is, when you're building a human life, you're exponentially stronger than you ever imagined," Litle told People. "This is my third pregnancy. I know what my body can handle."
As for the baby's future, Litle's husband, Jordan, believes dancing runs in the family.
"We're having a boy this time," Jordan said, "and he'll probably come out knowing some good dance moves, just like his sisters do. Christina loves to dance with the girls. I'm a terrible dancer, but it's fun to put on music and watch them tear it up around the house."
