One of the biggest mysteries surrounding the upcoming "Star Wars: Force Awakens" film is who exactly is the movie's main villain?
According to Cinemablend, a new TV spot features some insight on the character. From what is seen in the TV spot, Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) seems to have several Force powers at his command.
One such power is the Force Push, which has been seen numerous times over the six films in the franchise. For those who do not know about the Force Push, it's basically using the force to push your opponent away from you as well as throwing objects towards your enemies. It is a move that is used by both Jedi and Sith so it seems to be a neutral Force power.
Another Power that Kylo Ren is seen using is the Force Pull, which is basically the opposite of the Force Push, in where the user pulls his opponent or object near him to gain an advantage.
However, one of the biggest reveals for the film is that of Kylo's lightsaber design. According to Slash Film, Disney has released information about the peculiar cross hilt design of the light saber. While many theories revolved around the hilt being used as a vent of sorts, while others have it being used for defensive purposes.
It turns out that both theories are correct. In an exhibit put out in the Disneyland theme park, it is said that Kylo's lightsaber is of ancient design and that the quillons, or hilt, are raw power that is actually vented out from the primary blade.
Showing that Kylo is going somewhat old school for his choice of his lightsaber, the exhibit does state that the saber itself is not old, but instead recently built by Kylo with current age technology. This confirmation debunks the rumors that Kylo had found the saber on his travels.
It is also confirmed by J.J Abrams that Kylo Ren is not actually a Sith Lord himself. However, he is a Force-sensitive person who is more proficient with the Dark Side of the Force. The reason why he isn't a Sith has yet to be revealed. But the rumors are stating that Darth Vader and Darth Sidious were the last two Sith and with their deaths there were no Sith Lords to teach Kylo the ways of the Dark Side.
The wait for "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" is not much longer as the film debuts on Dec. 18, 2015.
