Drive into any Walmart parking lot on Thanksgiving night and you'll immediately be reminded why their annual Black Friday ad is such a big deal.
The mega-retailer announced yesterday that a majority of Black Friday deals would be available online beginning at 12:01 a.m. PST on Thanksgiving morning. As is becoming tradition, brick-and-mortar stores will begin Black Friday sales at 6 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day.
Walmart also decided to bring back their 1-Hour Guarantee, which permits customers a rain check on sold out items with the guarantee that they receive them by Christmas. The service is exclusive to in-store customers and requires that they be in line by 7 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day.

Retailer like Target and Best Buy don't wait until Thanksgiving morning to release Black Friday ads anymore. They set bargain-basement deals and members-only events weeks ahead of the holiday as to get a heads up on Walmart.
Target - the second-largest discount retailer in the U.S. - began on Nov. 9 by setting a "buy two, get one free" deal on video games. Shoppers who spend $75 on Black Friday receive a 20 percent off coupon that can be used between Dec. 4-13. On Saturday, consumers can score 50 percent off on purchases of $100 or more with a coupon or by using online promo code MERRY.

Not to be outdone, Best Buy updated their monstrous 37-page Black Friday ad with extra pages containing more than 300 additional deals. Tech-savvy holiday shoppers tend to make this their first stop because of extensive television, laptop, and desktop deals Best Buy has come to be known by.
