Amber Heard addresses the split rumors involving her marriage with Johnny Depp.

Heard graces the cover of Marie Claire magazine and cleared the controversy that she and husband Johnny Depp are splitting up. The interview with her revealed that the 29-year-old actress recognizes the speculations regarding her marriage with Johnny Depp, but she tries not to let it affect her.

In the interview she did with Marie Claire, Heard admits that her romance with the 52-year-old star has not been easy especially with the negative rumors surrounding them.

"I try not to react to the horrible misrepresentation of our lives, but it is strange, and hard," Heard told the magazine.

Heard and Depp first met on the set of "The Rum Diary" and from then on rumors of a budding romance between them sparked. It was made controversial because the "Pirates of the Caribbean" actor was still married to his long-time girlfriend Vanessa Paradis that time. Later on the two split up and early this year, Depp married Heard.

She previously opened up about her marriage and said that there were no dramatic changes once they tied the knot. The blonde bombshell said that everything between her and Depp flowed organic. The relationship and the freedom in it seem to match her since Heard described herself as an "independent spirit.

After their marriage, Heard became an instant stepmom to Depp's children Lily Rose and Jack. The young actress welcomed her new role and said that it was the "most surprising gift."

"[It's] an honor and the greatest, most surprising gift I have ever received in my life. I feel new flavors that I didn't know existed. New colors that I didn't know existed have been added to my life. I'm so happy," Heard said.

Inside the magazine, she talked about other topics such as gay rights and how her looks affect her career in Hollywood. The actress said that her appearance seems to limit her in a way, admitting that she sometimes has to choose between being "sexually viable" or "something more substantial."

People magazine reported that Heard who is out and proud bisexual is also active in the fight for equality. She has always been in opposition for those who try to edit her in order to fit the mainstream.

"I don't want to have to deny my sexuality in order to be me. But I don't want to have to be defined by it," Heard said.
