Thanksgiving is around the corner and a kind stranger has decided to give back already.
Firefighters of the Central Pierce Fire & Rescue in Puyallup, Washington were gathering a few groceries for dinner at a local Safeway supermarket when they were called away to save a woman who needed CPR. The emergency responders told the store clerk they would be back for the groceries after attending to the call. Upon their return, they found their goods in a paper bag with the receipt and a note stapled to the bag. The note read: "Enjoy your meals. Thank you for all you do. One veteran to another. God Bless." The kind soul spent about $60 on the produce.

Beyond precious. The firefighters, who work for Station 66, posted a picture of the random act of kindness to their Facebook page with the grateful message to the anonymous shopper. "Our crew from Station 66 was buying dinner at Safeway when they were dispatched for a CPR call. When they returned to complete the sale, an anonymous caring person had already paid for their food. Whoever you are out there from the Safeway at 132nd at Meridian at South Hill, thank you so much for your generosity!!"
The Assistant Firechief, Ed Hrivnak, told TODAY the sweet moment left an impression on the team. "They never talk about nice things that happen, but this one really touched them so they couldn't stop talking."
Hrivnak said the firefighters are like family to one another and try to eat one meal together a week.
"They don't get many opportunities to sit down and enjoy a meal, so I'm sure whoever the anonymous stranger is realizes that and wanted to help people who spend their life caring for others," Hrivnak said.
Once the firefighters prepared their meal they took a photo and posted it on their Facebook - thanking the kind stranger once again.
The finished product. Once again thank you to the kind citizen, who bought dinner for our crew at station 66. They had to respond to a CPR call while in line at the Safeway at South Hill.
