If there's one more thing that's to be expected of Jennifer Lawrence, aside from her candid sound bites and yearly acting award nomination, it's taking a tumble at a red carpet event.
Some may have expected the Oscar-winning actress to do just that on her very first "Hunger Games: Monckingjay Part 2" movie premiere appearance, but she finally did it Tuesday at the Madrid premiere.
"With the world's eyes watching, the 25-year-old took a dramatic tumble when the train of her one-of-a-kind gown got caught in her heels on the red carpet," MailOnline noted. "Video taken at the event appears to show Jen getting her towering heels caught in the bottom of her Ralph Lauren dress as she walked up the steps of the Madrid cinema."
Aides were able to break her fall during a prior near tumble, but were unable to fully shield her from the floor the next moment, when she finally landed on the floor.
"Having suffered through those mishaps before, Lawrence had no problem pulling herself together to pose for photographers in one of the best looks she's worn throughout her whirlwind of premieres over the last few days," The Huffington Post observed. "Despite her apparent clumsiness, Lawrence still looked like a total movie star in a black Ralph Lauren gown with a plunging neckline."
Her first very public tumble happened at the 2013 Oscars, when she went up the steps leading to the stage to receive her Best Actress award. The next one happened at the 2014 Oscars, when she tripped over her orange dress as she got out of her vehicle outside the awards ceremony venue.
Considering these past events, it looks like Lawrence is making the stumbling an annual occurrence. Will she repeat the feat at next year's Oscars? She had skipped this year's ceremony.
The 25-year-old actress had recently revealed her relief at not being part of a franchise, as she could call the shots herself where her acting career is concerned, instead of things going the other way around. The current "Hunger Games" film, the fourth installment of the movie series, is her last one.
"It doesn't feel like I'm being towed behind something anymore," she revealed to Vogue. "It feels like I'm towing it."
True enough, the actress had gone into a collaborative relationship with comedienne Amy Schumer, with the duo currently writing a script for a comedy flick they both plan to star in the near future.
"We started writing a month ago, and we have 150 pages," the actress shared. "It's a lot of ballsy and not a lot of thinking twice."
We'll see how that project goes in the next couple of months.
