Mariah Carey, James Packer Breaking Up? [Rumors]

After their red carpet appearance as a couple in China, Mariah Carey and boyfriend James Packer are reportedly having problems in their relationship.

According to a report from Life and Style magazine, the diva apparently got fed up because of her billionaire boyfriend's behaviour after she felt he was bossing her around. A source claimed that Packer was "barking orders" at the singer, and anyone who is close to Carey knows that she doesn't like being told what to do. Hence, the reason she is dubbed a "diva."

"He was barking orders at Mariah like he was her master. Anyone who knows Mariah knows that she does not take kindly to being told what to do!" said a source. "She really felt like she was falling head-over-heels in love with him and now she is just not sure."

In an interview she did before, Carey insisted that although she is always associated with the word "diva", she wouldn't have it any other way. The 45-year-old singer said that she is always going to be a diva but not in the bad sense of the word.

"I just mean, like, if there's a makeup artist there and they don't mind touching me up while I'm directing," the singer explained.

Another report from Realty Today stated that although Carey's boyfriend is filthy rich, it doesn't guarantee that the two will have a happy ending. According to a source, the singer doesn't need the money that is coming from Packer because she's already doing great on her own.

Although the Australian investor did a great job at spoiling the diva and making her feel like a princess, the recent China trip was a turning point in their relationship but in a bad way. It seems too soon in their relationship that the couple are having trouble in paradise.

It was only in June when Carey and Packer's relationship was confirmed. The two were spotted on vacation in Capri, Italy. The two were photographed in a series of public displays of affection while they strolled around the romantic destination.

Reports suggested that Packer has been pursuing the "Always Be My Baby" singer for quite some time before he finally got to be with her. In September, Carey gushed about her relationship with Packer saying that "it's fun." Rumors about plans to get married also surfaced at the beginning of their relationship. However, with recent reports, wedding bells are unlikely to chime anytime soon.
