Miranda Lambert had a cryptic status update on Facebook. The post was made in the wakes of rumors claiming that Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton had found love together.
"I could spend ages reading the news. I could spend days, singing the blues. But I turn up the tv light, give up without a fight. Better than pretending to know what's wrong and what's right," Lambert posted on Facebook, quoting "Better Than" by the band Lake Street Dive.
On Wednesday, Stefani's rep confirmed exclusively to Us Weekly that the two are officially dating. "Gwen and Blake are longtime friends who have very recently started dating," the rep said. The two apparently have flirted while both judge for The Voice. They had also been spotted for several times being too sweet with each other during various Halloween parties in L.A.
Shelton and Lambert split after four years of marriage in July. Stefani, on the other hand, filed for divorce from Gavin Rossdale in August after 13 years of marriage. The rumored paramours are incidentally both mentors on this season of The Voice.
A source who had exclusively spoken with People also spilled that Shelton and Stefani are already dating. "Blake and Gwen have begun dating. They've been supporting each other through a difficult time and they're really happy together," the source revealed, adding that "everyone is thrilled because they're both incredibly nice people." A rep for Shelton confirmed to People that he is already out and about with Stefani. In Touch had also reported the same, citing sources close to him saying: "Blake and Gwen work together and are both single and have recently started dating."
ET Online also reported that a rep for Shelton had exclusively confirmed to them about the budding relationship between Stefani and Shelton. The website quoted Stefani as saying in an interview with Ryan Seacrest on KIIS FM that Shelton is "hot."
Stefani was also quoted as saying in an interview with Dallas/Forth Worth radio station 103.7 KVIL that Shelton is "a pretty rad guy." However, she denied that they gone out in public already as a couple. "We didn't! Like, somebody did. That's what's so crazy like, who announces that? Why would I do that?" A related report from ET revealed that Shelton and Stefani have written a song together though it was not confirmed whether the rumored lovers were able to record it already.
