In a way, the ancient lore and mystified beasts of the massive video game franchise, "Warcraft", will never fail to amuse either a veteran of this massively multiplayer online role-playing based game or a plain enthusiast of seamless animation-packed films. So when the ground-breaking franchise finally unveils its first trailer at Blizzcon, the annual convention devoted to its makers Blizzard Entertainment, it is suspected to bend millions of wows in a short time.
The film, which is guided through by the creative mind of Moon and Source code director, Duncan Jones, is slated for a June 10th release date, reports Forbes.
According to The Verge, the fantasy goodness that surrounds the movie adaptation zooms in on some of the earlier part of the game franchise's lore - the dawn of the harmonious civilization between humans and orcs. But through the progressing times, a great discord has dawned in their world, with the orcs finding ways to save the last of their kind.
In the opening of the trailer, a man over the shot could be heard saying, "For years, our world has been at peace...but something is coming." Nothing like the power of a great dialogue could hint the film's action and drama.
Soon, the situation on the human and orc races are displayed through significant scenes that show their struggle into standing strong against the tide of extinction. As the world fall into deep chaos, they are met with decisions that will call for bigger sacrifices.
Later on, there were shots of "fantastic vistas, spectacular cities, and some ridiculously-brutal action, and no doubt tons of easter eggs for fans to pick over in the months to come," as told through iO9.
The world was suddenly caught in between the continuing struggle that sparked the beginning of a war and dominance, which should show off some gorgeous CGI effects, huge action in the midst of human-and-orc feud, and heightening drama throughout the film.
According to Neowin, "the Warcraft movie doesn't have a slew of well-known actors, though audiences might be able to pick out Clancy Brown (The Shawshank Redemption, Starship Troopers) amongst the would-be stars."
Engadget reports that "it is Activision Blizzard's first venture into movie-making, saying it is definitely not the last. The company today announced its own, in-house film and TV business, Activision Blizzard Studios."
The movie adaptation stars Ben Foster, Dominic Cooper, Paula Patton, Toby Kebbel and Former EastEnder Robert Kazinsky.
