There will be a major change at WWE Survivor Series and it involves the originally scheduled match involving champion Seth Rollins and challenger Roman Reigns.
Rollins was competing in a No Hold Barred match against Kane at a live event in Dublin and an awkward landing on the part of the Architect resulted in a torn ACL, MCL and medial meniscus.
The injury will keep Rollins out of the WWE ring between six to nine months and per WWE.com, a new main event to determine the new heavyweight champion will be announced soon.
WWE Survivor Series takes place on Nov. 22 at the Philips Arena in Atlanta.
Videos of who Rollins suffered the injury were posted online by @DroidStar_Com which showed Kane and Rollins caught in the ring corner. Rollins had planned to use a sunset powerbomb but what resulted was an awkward landing by Rollins on his feet.

Rollins still came out as the winner of the match but had to be helped out of the stage.
The injury somehow dampens the highly awaited clash between the two former Shield buddies and the WWE creative team should come out with a new angle in the coming shows.
With Rollins missing six to nine months of WWE action, it could also mean that he may not be around by the time Wrestlemania 32 comes around. The annual event will take place on April 3, 2016 at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
In all, Rollins exit changes the complexion when it comes to the major WWE storylines as we speak with a lot of tweaks expected to be seen in the coming shows.
Until the WWE provides a glimpse of the new direction, it will be interesting how they plan to pass on the WWE heavyweight title. Right now, the only main figure hooked on to it is Roman Reigns and no one else has been shown having interest in the WWE heavyweight crown.
Possible scenarios could see the much-talked about heel-turn of Dean Ambrose though such was expected to happen after the WWE Survivor Series. These are the same rumors floated in past pay-per-views but now it remains to be seen if it will happen.
It could happen before the pay-per-view but all that depends on the creative team.
If not Ambrose, other stars who could be bumped may include Brock Lesnar.
After defeating the Undertaker at WWE Hell in a Cell, the Beast could be called up again to take on Reigns in what could be a rematch of the botched Wrestlemania 31 where Rollins cashed in and snagged the title from under the noses of Lesnar and Reigns.
If there is no single star lined up against Reigns, a Triple Threat or even a Fatal Four Way could possibly happen as well.
