"Elder Scrolls 6," Bethesda's action-fantasy RPG, may finally come out, but the release date rumored is 2019. Despite still being so far away, fans are excited for any bit of news since it has become one of the most anticipated games to date.

Die-hard fans and websites in the gaming community have dedicated their time finding out about the possible release of an "Elder Scrolls 6."

According to Venture Capital Post, 2016 isn't expected to produce an "Elder Scrolls 6" since Elder Scrolls Online was released just this year. The rumor that the sixth instalment is being developed and its release being 2019 reportedly came from fans' knowledge that Bethesda's release for its games come every four years.

"It's rare to have franchises like the ones we have and to have people joking about when is Skyrim 2 coming out? The reason they say that is because generally speaking that's what you'd be getting with another publisher in charge," according to Pete Hines, Vice President for Press Release and Marketing, in a statement.

"They'd be spitting out a Skyrim 2 the year after or two years later. That's just not how we view it. We're not the sort of publisher that focusses on 'what's our 25 titles for 2015," he added.

This statement means that Bethesda doesn't aim for quantity but quality, therefore, it really could be possible that "Elder Scrolls 6" will be released in 2019 as the company would take a long time creating a game with top-notch quality.

Venture Capital Post says that Hines would dodge an "Elder Scroll 6" question each time he is asked. His response would reportedly be focused on Fallout 4 always.

Despite an Ubisoft survey (via a Crossmap report), where gamers said they want an "Elder Scrolls 6" or "Skyrim 2" release, Bethesda has clarified that the game is probably still being developed.

Only time will tell whether there will ever be an "Elder Scrolls 6." For now, the only concrete thing that fans can hold on to is that Hines mentioned Skyrim 2, and that it won't be out anytime soon.

In other Bethesda Game Studios news, according to Game Informer, the company is now hard at work with Fallout 4. The development of Fallout 4 began as they were finishing "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim." Microsoft and Sony have also informed Bethesda about the upcoming Xbox One and PlayStation 4, however, this doesn't mean that "Fallout 4" (still an unofficial title) will be launching soon. In any case, Skyrim will no doubt be available for new-gen hardware.
