Who knew you could get a movie plot from a series of tweets?
A 148-tweet storm by a woman named Zola (@_zolarmoon) recently went viral on Twitter for its numerous twists and eye-popping details.
"Zola's adventure, which begins with her a befriending a stripper and sugar daddy in Hooters and only gets more bizarre and twisted from there, is such an engrossing read that plenty of people on Twitter are calling for a screen adaptation," Time noted. "Half-jokingly, probably, but only half."
Her Twitter series has since been compiled in Storify for your reading convenience, and translates to one riveting account, despite it being riddled typos, abbreviations, swear words, and spelling errors.
Basically, Zola's adventure began when she met a "white b****" called Jessica at Hooters, where she waitressed, and agreed to meet up again for some dancing. Not long after their first meeting, they did see each other again, albeit on a road trip to Florida with 2 other people who were essentially strangers to Zola.
The duo ended up raking in about $15,000 over the very unusual and "freaky" weekend, one that involved "friendship, love, betrayal, revenge, suspenseful action sequences, a hilarious protagonist, etc."
Zola's story has since been hailed by Twitter users as movie material, with Vulture observing that it's the 2015 version of "Showgirls."
"Nomi Malone travels to Las Vegas, becomes a chorus girl, and gets mixed up in drugs, stripping, and prostitution - and makes it out unscathed while her black friend, Molly, gets raped and brutalized," Vulture said of the movie, which pretty much sounds like Zola's adventure.
Interestingly, Zola's story caught the attention of "Selma" director Ava DuVernay, who read it while in India.
"Drama, humor, action, suspense, character development. She can write! There's so much untapped talent in the hood," she was quoted by MailOnline as saying.
"I see you, sis! I need the book. What's good? Best seller in waiting," she tweeted to Zola in response to a post.
Looks like her escapade has a big possibility of being turned into a movie.
In the wake of such a bizarre account, users have since wondered whether the story is fact or fiction.
"Twitter has already started doing its Jessica Fletcher thing and investigating it. There was a real shooting at a motel! And a real prostitution ring got busted!" Vulture noted.
A Twitter user shared a link to a news piece about a shooting at a Tampa inn in March this year. Zola did not confirm if the shooting had connections to her story.
