Floyd Mayweather Jr. has reiterated that he is done with boxing and says he has nothing more to prove. In short, he is retired.

It seems that he will be repeating that line all throughout until the boxing world gets its answer – a worthy fight to send him off to retirement.

To this day, many feel that Mayweather is playing around and that he will indeed return at some point. No one has a clue on when this could possibly be since all that depends on Mayweather.

His name was once again in the headlines recently, not because of a possible fight, but because he bought another expensive vehicle to add to his collection.

This time, Mayweather dropped a hefty $3.5 million on a 2015 Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse. Spending a ton of money on rare and expensive vehicles is nothing new though since he has done it before.

However, an angle that many are apparently looking into is the money Mayweather has. While it is true that he has millions, many feel that his lavish lifestyle could one day require him to replenish his cash reserves and possibly lead to a sudden return to the ring.

At least this is how some folks view it, though there could be other reasons.

One is of course he could opt to break the record of Rocky Marciano, which he recently equalled last September 12 against a not-so-impressive opponent in Andre Berto.

To make sure he rakes in millions, the best bet is for him to fight Manny Pacquiao, which will surely spark a lot of debate.

Although it is true that Mayweather may have outboxed Pacquiao and he could do so again, at the end of the day, it is all about the money he gets after 36 minutes of getting into the ring.

Whether he boxes or not is up to him, but then again, why would Mayweather risk getting hurt when he could employ the same defensive stance he has been doing practically all of his career?

Seeing Mayweather return is a long shot but a lucrative fight can only materialize against Manny Pacquiao for now. It could happen in 2016 or maybe after.

Who knows if Mayweather ends up playing Pacquiao yet again, especially if the boxer/lawmaker officially announces his retirement after his April 9, 2016 return and alleged farewell match?

If not the Filipino boxer, he could consider Gennady Golovkin, though the income may not be as high compared to what he could get fighting Pacquiao.

Like it or not, Mayweather can return if he wants to box again. The final word will and shall always be up to him. Right now, he claims that he is retired. THowever, not many are buying it, although Mayweather couldn't care less.

However, Timothy Bradley Jr. is someone who would pay to see it. Check out the video.
