If you have no idea what to be for Halloween, this woman's got a ton of ghoulishly captivating face paintings you can try your best to reiterate since her face painting skills probably put yours to shame.
Nikki Shelley of the United Kingdom has painted a gallery of the most frightening creatures - from a ghoulish throat goblin to a sinister swamp creature - all of which can live on your face this Halloween. Her online gallery depicts her face fully transformed into beasts that are definitely not human.
Shelley tells Latinos Post inspiration for her elaborate and intricate paintings "mainly comes from horror movies, and other painters, [and] special effects artists."
If anyone is planning to get this detailed for Halloween, be advised, it is going to take awhile. Shelley tells Mashable it can take a few hours. "My paintings can take anywhere from an hour to around four hours, depending on how much detail is in the paints. My eyes are usually hurting a bit by the four-hour mark!"
Shelley started painting two years ago and has since racked up a steady following of over 8,000 Instagram followers who adore her work.
"Most people love them," she tells Mashable, "but there are a small number of people who really don't like the gore factor... but if we all liked the same things, the world would be a boring place!"
The mom of three is currently looking into launching a YouTube channel "so that people can actually see the process of [her] face paints, and to share what [she's] learnt so far."
And as for the future... "Eventually I'd like to bridge out into the special effects world too and if I could get into TV, movie work that would be fantastic!"
With skills like these, it is totally possible.
