Jason Mraz and Christina Carano have secretly wed in an intimate ceremony over the weekend, and the stunning photos they shared are filled with joy.
Carano is Mraz's longtime girlfriend. According to ET, the 38-year-old "I'm Yours" singer tied the knot in secret at the ole Green Historic Church in Mechanicsville, Virginia, his hometown.
The intimate wedding was composed of 50 of the couple's closest friends and relatives.
"The couple chose to be a stand for love, as witnessed by a small gathering of close family and friends," according to Jason Mraz's rep, as reported by ABC News.
Following Jason Mraz and Christina Carano's secret wedding Sunday, the "Mr. A-Z" singer shared on Twitter a photo of his new wife standing in the middle of the open-air church, surrounded by fall trees and foliage. In the newlywed's photo, Carano is seen in her white wedding gown and a crown made of flowers. She caresses a bouquet of flowers in between her hands.
"Today I was made the luckiest man in the world," Mraz's photo was captioned.
Apart from sharing a photo of his bride, Mraz further confirmed to the world his secret wedding when he changed his social media account descriptions on Twitter and Instagram, to "Singer/Songwriter/Husband."
Carano, raised in Royal Oak, Michigan, also goes by the name "Tina." She used to be a coffee shop owner in Hermosa Beach, California before her wedding, said MSN News.
In an interview with The Osider Magazine in August, Carano said:
"After several years of crushing on him, the stars finally aligned - and now he's my stud. We've created a really awesome life together and we make a great team."
"He's the most loving, generous, and most hardworking man I know. These are the most attractive qualities I could ever ask for in a partner. He inspires me and empowers me everyday to live my best life and he cares so deeply about the things that really matter. We're truly blessed in so many ways," she added.
The Jason Mraz Christina Carano wedding was led by Terces Engelhart, who is from Cafe Gratitude. The couple has been dating for four years.
A singer and songwriter, Jason Mraz is based in California. He became famous following the single "The Remedy (Don't Worry)" in 2002. Early that year, he signed with Elektra Records, afterwhich returned to Virginia to make a debut album, according to MTV.
In the making of his album, he collaborated with producer John Alagía, as well as "Agents of Good Roots," who became his backing band. His debut album, "Waiting for My Rocket to Come," was released in November 2002, and became a big hit. He later went on a road tour for the album.
In 2005, Jason Mraz released his sophomore abum "Mr. A-Z," and another album in 2008 called "We Sing, We Dance, We Steal Things," which made it to number three and put the single "I'm Yours" at the top of the charts. In 2009, the concert album "Beautiful Mess: Live on Earth" arrived, and in 2012, he released another album called "Love Is a Four Letter Word."
His latest album is "Yes!" released in summer 2014.
