GOOOOOOAALLLL!
Wow! This deer is quite talented.
At a youth league soccer game an athletic deer emerged onto the soccer field to score a goal.
In a video captured on a cell phone, the four-legged creature runs full speed across the entire field. Onlookers can be heard laughing and yelling as it makes its way over to the goalie to score. The camera pans over to one shocked little goal-keeper. He stands in the middle of the goal stunned.
The video was uploaded to YouTube by Sean D. Spidle over the weekend and has since garnered over 24,000 views. The same video has been posted by other accounts - racking up a few hundred hits on each of those.
The internet seems to be impressed by the soccer-savvy deer. This is not the first time a deer has expressed its interest in human sporting events. Earlier this month a buck found its way onto a Colorado high school's football field during their Homecoming game.
It probably wanted a closer look at how to effectively score a winning touchdown without two additional appendages.
That video has since racked up over a million views on Facebook. The minute-and-a-half long clip shows the deer first eyeing the scoreboard before prancing its way over to the front of the bleachers. It then takes a nice little stroll along the 20-yard line before darting across the field to entertain the opposing team's fans in the stands.
Viewers of this video quickly became supporters of the deer saying, "How cool!!! He should have been Homecoming King. Had his crown on!"
While others made cute gaming jokes.
Gregory Moore "Must of been Rudolph. He never gets to play any reindeer games. And I guess that goes for football too!"
Melissa Edney Gonzalez "Would this call for a flag on the play?"
David Griffiths "wow look at that mascot. looks so real O.O"
A few others were worried all the lights and people may have been too much for the curious deer.
Linda Hogan "Poor thing...he was terrified!!!"
Luckily, both the soccer-loving and football curious deer scampered away unharmed.
