More juicy details have emerged about "Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice." This time spoiler did not come from unnamed sources or obscure production insiders. The details of the film's opening sequence came from the lead stars themselves, Henry Cavill and Ben Affleck.
According to Cavill the film's prologue will have a narrative of the life of Superman told in the perspective of Bruce Wayne. In the beginning of the film, one of Bruce's buildings gets destroyed and Batman will be powerless to save all the people trapped inside, Cavill was quoted as reported by COMINGSOON.NET, citing a recent issue of Total Film magazine. "So he is this angry person who fears what Superman may do. Why are they just going to trust this super-powered alien? What if he decides to turn against us?" Cavill further explained.
Affleck then described what is going inside Batman's head in the beginning of the film. He said Batman is harboring a tremendous amount of rage for Superman. "So it's how he got there, and what that's done to him, and what that's done to people around him like Alfred, who are, I think, very scared and worried for him. It's something that's interesting and new," Affleck said.
Affleck also expressed interest about directing a solo Batman movie, COMINGSOON.NET reported. The actor said that if the project gets pursued, it would be like a dream for him. Directing a Batman solo film "is something I'd be open to, for sure," Affleck said, adding that it is a very exciting idea.
"Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice" comes to theaters March 25, 2016. The synopsis posted on the official Warner Bros website reads: "Fearing the actions of a god-like super hero left unchecked, Gotham City's own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis's most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of her it really needs.
