Hurricane Patricia has become the strongest storm ever measured on the planet. The storm is heading to the Mexican Pacific Coast and is expected to hit Manzanillo and Puerto Vallarta during the afternoon.
CONAGUA, Mexican water comission, has predicted waves about 40 feet at landfall.The hurricane went from category 1 to category 5 in the scale Saffir-Simpson in just 24 hours.
Mexican authorities have declared a state of emergency and have started the protocols to keep the locals and tourists safe. The U.S. Consulate General in Guadalajara has warned Americans in the warning area to make preparations immediately to protect life and property.
Some locals and tourists have take social media to show how the coast looks before Patricia hits land. Others have expressed their support to their families that live there, urging them to follow the indications and stay strong.
Patricia will also leave effects on Texas territory, in which meteorologists expect 10 inches of rain in the next three days,making the flooding in South Texas even worse.
