Lamar Odom may have shown a lot of improvements since that near-death experience last week in Las Vegas but as per the advice of attending doctors, further monitoring and observation are still needed.
Odom was given a 50/50 chance to survive last week after being discovered unconscious at the Love Ranch in Krystal, Nevada on Wednesday of last week with most of his organs failing. The included his kidney which required him to undergo dialysis.
A couple of days after though, Odom showed positive signs starting with his heart being functional, the opening of his eyes and then that thumbs up. He would later on be able to speak and then taken off life support.
So now, Odom finds himself on the road to recovery but may require some time for him to get things back to the way it was. But as far as his lifestyle is concerned, there is a chance that he will have to tweak things a bit especially once the doctors are able to determine the extent of damage the whole ordeal did to his body.
Regardless, estranged wife Khloe Kardashian has vowed to be by her ex husband’s side throughout the recovery and therapy process.
The latest report is that Odom is on his way back to Los Angeles for specialized treatment for some unresolved medical issues with Khloe by her side.
Again, the doctors have advised Odom’s family that there could be some permanent damage on the former NBA star and much of that will likely be determined after Odom is properly evaluated by specialists.
Odom may also be needing therapists in the future after this whole ordeal. Physical, speech and other therapists could eventually be commissioned but all that would depend once the extent of damage on Odom has been verified.
Whatever happens, Lamar will not go through all of it alone since Khloe has committed to be by his side.
Now, it seems to bring up another issue. Where does this leave Houston Rockets star James Harden?
Before the whole Lamar Odom incident, it seemed that Khloe had moved on after being spotted multiple times with the bearded one.
They were spotted partying back in August and everyone knows of course that Khloe was around when that blockbuster Adidas deal went down.
Lamar and Khloe are still officially married and their divorce never really got off. Has this life-threatening ordeal saved their marriage? Is it over between James and Khloe (or at least headed in that direction)?
