Lamar Odom Making Progress; Khloe Kardashian Not Leaving His Side?

Miraculous could be now an understatement at the turn of events tied up with Lamar Odom’s health status.

From being pegged at 50/50, Odom has been showing positive signs of recovery since being found unresponsive Wednesday last week at the Love Rank in Krystal, Nevada.

Despite the positive developments, attending doctors are still closely monitoring the condition of the former NBA cager. They believe that despite the progress, there is a chance for setbacks and the reason why Odom is still in close care and watch.

Odom’s improvement started when his heart was found functional. After that he was able to open his eyes, respond and then speak. He has been taken off life support and is now breathing with the aid of a breathing mask.

The latest word was that he was being helped to move to and from his hospital bed, a procedure done mostly to see what other vital organs may have been affected by the reported mild strokes he had suffered at the time.

Throughout this experience, estranged wife Khloe Kardashian had reportedly been by the side of her husband which poses the question on whether the divorce proceedings between the two will still push through as scheduled.

Per Odom’s high school basketball coach who has since been like a father to the fallen cager, mentioned in a telephone conversation with USA Today some details on a text message he had received from Khloe on Odom’s improvement.

“She reached down and said ‘you know I love you’ and he kind of nodded,” Harrick said.

Khloe has reportedly not left Lamar’s side during these hard times and now it will be interesting how things pan up for the couple who filed for divorce way back in December, 2013.

Khloe has been linked to Houston Rockets star James Harden as of late and while this may not be the proper time to discuss about possibilities, there are some who are tinkering with thoughts on various scenarios.

Just the same, the outpouring of support for Odom continues. Many continue to keep tabs on his condition and his improvements have left many heaving a big sigh of relief.

The last 24 hours have been good but the fact remains that some of his organs have not yet responded. Such is seen as the reason as to why doctors have not totally put Odom in the clear for now.
