[Watch] New 'Daredevil' Season 2 Footage Features Elektra, Punisher

Something for the next couple of weeks ahead, Daredevil fans!

Elektra (played by Elodie Yung) and Punisher (played by Jon Bernthal) makes a teaser debut in the latest Daredevil Season 2 footage unveiled at New York Comic Con.

Entertainment Weekly reports that Jeph Loeb, Marvel's Head of Television, moderated the Daredevil panel at the NY Comic Con - opening the session by teasing that he will be doing "something unexpected." The Marvel executive then introduced the three out of four "Defenders" - Krysten Ritter (who plays Jessica Jones), Charlie Cox (who plays Daredevil) and Mike Colter (who plays Luke Cage).

No word yet on the fourth "Defender", Iron Fist, as the character has not yet been cast. Daredevil's creative team and cast then made their way to the stage, including Charlie Cox, Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson, Elodie Yung, Jon Bernthal, and showrunners Doug Petrie and Marco Ramirez.

The Daredevil on-screen and behind-the-scenes team expressed their love for the whole franchise during the panel, according to Entertainment Weekly. Joe Quesada, Marvel's Chief Creative Officer, fondly remarked, "I couldn't have drawn it any better."

Jon Bernthal's portrayal of Frank Castle (dubbed as The Punisher), has made its mark among Marvel fans and he addressed this during the panel as well. "I know how important this character is to you guys and I know how important this show is to you guys," he told the Comic Con audience, as told by Entertainment Weekly.

He continued, "And I know how important he is to law enforcement, to the military, and I looked at this as a huge honor, a huge responsibility. I give you my absolute word I'm going to give everything that I have."

As expected, the Q & A session was exciting but the series' fans were more thrilled about the premiere of season 2's teaser trailer. "You're the first person to see any footage," Loeb told the growingly keyed up Comic Con crowd - who were even more psyched upon knowing they'd be having a first crack on the Jessica Jones episode to be released on November 20.

The Daredevil season 2 footage begins with a "recap-montage" of season 1, as per IGN Asia. The next scene, based on the same report, shows Matt Murdock, Foggy Nelson, and Karen Page sitting in a church. Matt asks, "Why do I still feel guilty?" and Father Lantom tells him, "Guilt can be a good thing."

The clip then cuts to quick shots of Murdock descending the stairwell and donning a full Daredevil costume, as per Variety.  The same report described Nelson to be "flanked by cops." Newest character addition Elekra (played by Elodie Yung) appeared to be pulling a mask across the lower half of her face. Page, on the other hand, was examining a skull x-ray strangely similar to The Punisher's symbol. The Punisher, Frank Castle, is seen to be walking down a hospital corridor with a gun in hand accompanied by a voice over saying a single word: "Beg."
