Fans have seen Channing Tatum dance hip-hop and ballet in "Step Up." He had also been a stripper in "Magic Mike." Now, he will be seen as a sailor doing tap dance in the film "Hail, Caesar," out in theaters on Feb. 5 2016.

In the film's first ever trailer posted by Working Title, Gorge Clooney is seen as a dim-witted actor playing Caesar and Scarlett Johansson as the sultry mermaid with a silver tiara and dressed in a skintight, shimmery emerald costume.

"We are excited to present the first trailer for 'Hail Caesar,'" Working Title posted on their Facebook Page. The film is written and directed by Joel and Ethan Coen. The all-star cast also includes Josh Brolin, Ralph Fiennes, Tilda Swinton, Jonah Hill, Alden Ehrenreich and Frances McDormand. It is during the latter years of Hollywood's Golden Age.

"Hail Caesar" follows the journey of a studio fixer, Eddie Mannix (to be played by Brolin). As seen from the trailer, Brolin is faced with problems after problems. The biggest of which is when the star of the studio's biggest release of the year, Baird Whitlock (to be played by Clooney) was kidnapped in the middle of production. Brolin needs to find a way to rescue Clooney.

The trailer opens with Brolin taking confession after only 27 hours from his last one. He was faced with his biggest problem when the studio receives a note that reads: "We have your movie star. Gather $100,00 and await instructions. Who are we? The Future."

Brolin then sought the help of Johansson for her to use her feminine charm in order to solicit cash from Hill's character. Brolin will also seek the help of the Capitol Pictures Studio's big wigs which include Tatum, Fiennes and Ehrenreich.

The trailer then shows snippets of Johansson swimming as the green-costumed mermaid dancing with synchronized swimmers; Tatum and his group of dancing sailors; and finally the baffled Clooney as he enters a room filled with strangers. One man asked him: "Wondering what's going on?"

While the trailer gave glimpse of hilarious situations, the film's musical composer, Carter Burwell, warned audience not to expect too much lightheartedness onscreen. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Burwell said he would not label "Hail Caesar" as a musical comedy.

"There are movies within the movie, and those movies might have comedic music, but the movie we're making is actually not comical," Burwell said. "It's going to be rather serious, and it's about faith. It's not about the music," he explained.
