Mexico's 'Primera División' observed a semifinal match on Thursday between Santos Laguna and Tigres, a game that concluded in a 1-1 draw.

During the first half of the game, the host team, Tigres, played fiercely and seldom gave Santistas the opportunity to get close to the goal posts or even the opportunity to create dangerous plays.

Tigres had an evident dominion on the first half, but still weren't able to make ends meet and score the game's first goal.

It was only until minute 61 that Iván Estrada from Santos received a pass from Darwin Quintero and shot the ball past the posts and into the net.

Tigres was apparently unshaken by the goal as they quickly responded with one of their own.

Lucas Lobo on minute 68 took a shot just beyond the greater area of the goalie's territory, a shot that was rewarded to Tigres for a foul committed against them.

Santo's goalie Oswaldo Sanchez, couldn't do much. The shot just sunk in.

During the remaining 30 minutes, although Tigres continued to lift up their game and continued to dominate, they weren't able to break Santos' defense and score a second.

Now all the pressure falls on Tigres who will have to not only deal with playing against a team benefitting from home-court advantage, but also win the next game in order to earn the pass to return to the Mexican league's Finals.

The semifinal match is scheduled for Sunday, May 13,  at 6 p.m. PDT.
