There are a number of different ways to handle a pregnancy and deal with birthing a baby. Some mothers opt for epidurals, others a shallow pool of water, and for this mommy-to-be, a dance floor.
In between contractions this mother was spied by her nurse "whipping" and "nae nae-ing" in the hallway. Along with two back-up dancers, she is caught on-camera laughing and giggling her way through the dance number set to Silento's "Watch Me." She looks to be enjoying the "birthing" process.
The video with the caption "I went looking for my patient to see how she was doing with her squatting. This is what I found in between contractions. Get that baby down mommy!" was posted to YouTube on Oct. 1 by Ob/Gyn Midwife Associates. It has since been viewed over 560,000 times.
The internet is obsessed with the happy mommy-to-be and her dancing friends.
Micaela Ramos "They're so pretty, I love their smiles."
Blyn_Butterfly "Proof that all women are tough as nails, but can still sprinkle joy and laughter into new, scary and exciting moments. Go ahead mommy! Nae Nae away!!"
Ana Span "Her smile is so beautiful and they all look so happy. A great video, it got me all warm inside. :) Congratulations to the mommy and the whole family! <3"
Some mothers were in awe of her ability to dance after experiencing their own tough labor.
Sam Dav "god how did you have the energy for that? when I get contractions I feel like curling up and dying."
Candy Howard "Exactly....I thought I was on my way to heaven. The pain was unbearable... I felt like pulling my hair out!! Kudos to her!"
Sexyniknowit76167 "This is so cool to watch. Love how she is laughing and enjoying herself instead of laying in bed and not able to move--really cool way to have a baby hope it catches on. :) Thank you !"
Dutchfruitjar "She seems like she will be (is?) a fun mom."
While one woman was inspired to try her own dance number when she goes through labor.
Leah Stolarski "I don't even have words for how much I love this!! What a joyous way to welcome your baby to the world. Maybe I'll put "do the Whip/Nae Nae" in my birth plan for next time ;)"
This woman is not the only viral "whip and nae nae" video. A spritely group of senior citizens at the Insignia Senior Living community gave the catchy dance a go this past August.
There's also a surprise father-daughter wedding routine to the popular hip-hop track.
