Fans of Orphan Black may celebrate as Screen Rant shared that the hit science fiction series is back to filming its fourth season.

According to the news outlet, the shooting is taking place in Toronto, Canada until March 2016. The show will return to the small screen in spring 2016. BBC America has revealed an official synopsis for the new season, showing where it will start off from the events last season. The synopsis read:

“Season 4 of the drama will see leader-of-the-pack, Sarah, reluctantly return home from her Icelandic hideout to track down an elusive and mysterious ally tied to the clone who started it all — Beth Childs. Sarah will follow Beth’s footsteps into a dangerous relationship with a potent new enemy, heading in a horrifying new direction. Under constant pressure to protect the sisterhood and keep everyone safe, Sarah’s old habits begin to resurface. As the close-knit sisters are pulled in disparate directions, Sarah finds herself estranged from the loving relationships that changed her for the better.”

Screen Rant notes that basing on the synopsis above, the fourth season will seem to tackle more Beth-related stories and sew up loose seams that have been left unanswered at the beginning of the series. It can be remembered that the last episode of season three showed the clones learning more about the Neolutionists and their origin.

The fourth season of "Orphan Black" also marks the entrance of fresh faces to the small screen. BBC America announces that one of the new cast members joining the show is Joel Thomas Hynes, who will play the character of Dizzy, "an edgy, self-reliant hacker who doesn’t conform to group mentality." Other additional cast members will be announced by BBC in the coming weeks.

The said network also notes the old characters who will be returning for the new season, including Jordan Gavaris (Felix), Maria Doyle Kennedy (Sarah/Mrs. S), Kristian Bruun (Donnie), Kevin Hanchard (Art), Skyler Wexler (Kira), Ari Millen (Castor clone), Josh Vokey (Scott), James Frain (Ferdinand), Allison Steadman (Kendall Malone) and Rosemary Dunsmore (Susan Duncan).

In an interview with TV Line's Michael Ausiello during the Emmy red carpet in September, lead star Tatiana Maslany, who plays a lot of different characters in the series, has spilled out one season spoiler.

“What’s not gonna happen? Flight. The miracle of flight. I will not learn how to fly in this season. I can guarantee that," Maslany jokingly said.
