Award-winning actor Jared Leto will apparently be bringing a lot to the table when he brings to life the iconic Batman villain Joker in next year's "Suicide Squad" movie.

Reports from the set reveal that Leto has been deep into his method acting during the shooting of the film. Movie Plot reveals that some of his methods might have gone too far and even scared some of his fellow actors.

Adam Beach, who portrays Slipknot in the film, reports that Leto gave out Christmas presents to some of the cast.  Apparently to Margot Robbie, who plays Harley Quinn, Leto sent a nice love letter with a black box and a live rat inside, while Will Smith, who portrays Deadshot, received a gift of bullets as well as a letter.  However, what really disturbed Beach is the video he made for the cast. In the video, Leto was in full character, greeting his cast mates and stating that he is working as hard as they are and how he is sorry that he cannot be with them at the moment.

According to Beach, Leto's portrayal of the Joker is so intense that the moment he saw it, he believed  Leto 100 percent. Beach states that Leto can go from the nicest guy to full-on psycho in an instant.

During a Q & A session during the recent Dubai Music week, Leto perhaps teased fans on how crazy his rendition of the Joker really is. Leto told The National about an event that happened during the Music Week. Leto talked to the fans and even called out the guy who wore the Batman T-Shirt during the Q & A portion. Leto stated that the fan had a lot of nerve showing up with that kind of t-shirt and gave out his best Joker laugh.

Leto tells the fans that he cannot wait for them to see the film, and that they will have to lock him up in a box after the movie comes out. This might be true considering the methods he and his predecessor, Heath Ledger, have done to get into the character.

Everyone considers Ledger's untimely death after his role was completed a tragedy, but his work laid the foundation for Leto's version. Similar to Ledger, Leto has fully delved into the character, and Leto has said that he has taken a lot from what Ledger had done during his time as the Joker. If that is any indication of what fans are going to see during the "Suicide Squad" film, then everyone is in for a treat.

"Suicide Squad" premieres on Aug. 5, 2016.
