The much anticipated "Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice" is only about six months from premiering, which means that both Warner Bros and DC Comics will start releasing more promotional materials surrounding the film and will eventually answer a lot of questions from fans.
One of the biggest questions in the minds of comic book and movie fans is who exactly the main hero of this movie would be. While recent reports do trend towards Batman being the main character in the story, Screen Rant reports that director Zack Snyder has basically referred to this movie as "Man of Steel 2." However, there are yet more speculation that both Batman and Superman will be splitting equal screen time. With so many conflicting reports, its hard to tell which is which.
Heroic Hollywood reports that new trailers for the movie will be emphasizing individually both Superman and Batman. The Superman trailer will be premiering on October 26 sometime during "Supergirl" on CBS, while the Batman trailer will premiere on the same night during FOX's "Gotham."
Both trailers will be one minute in length and both are rumored to cover in a more in-depth manner the roles each iconic superhero will be playing in the upcoming film. Yet another trailer for the entire movie is rumored to premiere along with the Rocky spinoff film "Creed", which will be released in U.S. theaters this Thanksgiving.
The newest trailer is rumored to show more of the supporting cast of the Justice League, especially those who have been already confirmed for the film, namely, Aquaman and Wonder Woman. While it has yet to be confirmed which of the other members will make an appearance in the film, fans of DC's strongest team are hoping to see characters such as Cyborg, or even the Flash.
It seems that DC and Warner Bros. are putting a lot of effort into the film, and both are hoping that they can ride the success of "Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice" through their phase one plans for their expanded universe, similar to what Marvel did with their "Avengers" story arcs.
DC has already revealed that they do have plans for the other members of the Justice League to get their own individual films. Critics are already saying that lesser known members such as Martian Manhunter and Hawkman may have a difficult time getting their own films. However, as moviegoers have seen previously with films like "Guardians of the Galaxy", as long as the film is done well, it can be successful.
