It seems Bonnie is going to be getting a new boy toy during the newest season of "The Vampire Diaries." Sorry to fans who are hoping for Jeremy to somehow return from the dead and for the two to live happily ever after.
TV Line reports that Kat Graham, the actress who plays Bonnie, says that she's excited about who Bonnie finally ends up with. Graham goes on to say that the character is someone fans of the show knows and loves.
Graham didn't reveal much about who this new guy in her life is going to be, but she did state that the one guy who it isn't going to be is Matt Donovan. According to Hollywood Life, Graham says that while Matt is a nice and sweet guy, it's not entirely sure that the Bonnie who came back is the same sweet Bonnie who was featured in season 2 or 3 of the show.
However, Graham does say that she loves what they have done with Matt over the years, and that they have always kept his character so human. With all the supernatural events that happen during the series, Matt's greatest and most endearing characteristic is his humanity.
Graham confirmed that Bonnie will be spending a lot of time with Damon Salvatore during the next season. Graham states that Bonnie will be a grounding personality in Damon's life. The actress states that with the loss of Elena, Damon needs someone like that.
While it doesn't seem that Graham is about to give away who Bonnie eventually ends up with, it is for certain that fans of the "Vampire Diaries" are in for a treat as the actress promises a lot of action. Bonnie will be getting into crazy, even dark situations. Some of these situations do include Matt unfortunately, and according to Graham, it's a little creepy.
Graham does state however that Bonnie will be going into all these situations with a different mentality than she used to. This is mainly due to the fact that the character has lost almost everyone dear to her, including Elena, except for Caroline and her mom. The Bonnie who will show up in season 7 will be stronger and better prepared than before.
"The Vampire Diaries" season 7 premieres on Oct. 8 on the CW.
