According to reports, "Jane The Virgin" star Gina Rodriguez is now officially a single lady.
In an article by Fox News Latino, Gina Rodriguez has reportedly split from her boyfriend, "Revenge" actor Henri Esteve. The two have been together for over a year. The news comes just days after the "Jane The Virgin" actress attended the Emmy Awards by herself.
In previous interviews, she gushed over her boyfriend, saying that he had "strong and emotional" reactions for her work being "Jane" in the hit series she is part of.
"I just know that I have a very strong [and] supportive boyfriend. He's an amazing artist himself who respects the craft...He supports me and I think that's all that matters. We're very honest and there's a lot of communication. He knows that my priority is Jane and him and family," Gina said in an interview with E! News.
She also talked about how Esteve kept her grounded even after her growing success with winning a Golden Globe. Unfortunately though, the couple did not manage to last that long.
Rodriguez is considered one of the fastest growing stars in Hollywood today, and perhaps her busy career might affect the relationships she will have in the future. Nonetheless, Gina is nothing but grateful for "Jane The Virgin", which gave her the biggest career break so far.
Design and Trend reported that for the season 2 of "Jane The Virgin", Gina's character might really lose her virginity this time. According to rumors, there is a big chance that Jane might end up sleeping with someone, and it might be either Rafael or Michael.
"Jane The Virgin" Season 2 will be more focused on Jane being a new mom to her son Mateo. Executive producer Jennie Urman hinted that Jane might marry in the next season. Rodriguez also talked about the possibility of Jane marrying a third person for Season 2, but one thing for sure is that Jane will be focused on motherhood.
"Right away in the first episode, you have some real, honest, vulnerable things that happen to Jane that have to do with motherhood," Rodriguez said.
"Jane The Virgin" will also introduce guest stars in the upcoming season. It was confirmed that singers Kesha and Britney Spears will make an appearance in the hit CW series. "Jane The Virgin" Season 2 will premiere on the CW on October 12.
