Chris Bosh, a vital cog that could have helped the Miami Heat in their playoff run last season is back and the 10-time All Star seemingly can’t wait to get back on the court and help his team recall lost glory.
To recall, Bosh ended his 2014-15 NBA Season prematurely when he was found to have a blood clot on his lung. The condition was pretty much serious since this is the same condition that claimed the life of former NBA star Jerome Kersey who was best known for his years with the Portland Trailblazers.
Other players who had to be sidelined with the same include current active players Anderson Varejao of the Cleveland Cavaliers and Mirza Teletovic of the Phoenix Suns.
Bosh explains that before the blood clot on his lung was found, he barely paid much attention to it.
“A lot of pain, shooting pain throughout my side, shortness of breath,” said Bosh via USA Today. “There were so many things going on that I didn’t pay attention to.”
Now, it looks like he is up and about from the unfortunate episode and is looking forward to the coming 2015-16 NBA Season with a retooled lineup.
The Heat are coming back with a full cast that includes Dwyane Wade, Goran Dragic, Udonis Haslem, Hassan Whiteside and Luol Deng among others. There are some new faces in the person of Ama’re Stoudemire, Gerald Green and rookie Justise Winslow.
With a practically new cast, the only thing important on the part of the two-time NBA champion center-forward seems to be getting back on the court and helping his team regain lost glory. After missing significant time and hardly being able to help, Bosh is certainly looking forward to a good season.
"We're excited to have Amar'e (Stoudemire), D (Dwyane Wade) coming back and Luo (Luol Deng) coming back so I think we're going to have the ability to be a good team. We just have to go get it" says Bosh via SB Nation
The Heat do some primed for a rebound but standing in their way are the Cleveland Cavaliers which is led no less by his buddy LeBron James. Regardless, Bosh believes that if the team sticks together then the team will be up there.
“We have the experience, we have the talent, we have the leadership, we just all have to bring those things together. (If we) bring the chemistry on the court, believe in ourselves, and just go out there and let it hang loose and compete, then I think we'll be alright" Bosh adds.
