First Look at 'Supergirl' Villain Red Tornado [Photo, Cast, Plot, Trailer & Rumors]

The first photo of Israeli actor Iddo Goldberg as the cruel villain Red Tornado has just been released. CBS has first announced the villain early this month. According to the official announcement, Red Tornado is designed for the army by another character, scientist T.O. Morrow, who will also be played by Goldberg.

CBS described Red Tornado as "the world's most nefarious android who is capable of devastating National City." However, the android will be freed from the bounds of the U.S. government and this is when he will spread violence in the city.

In an interview with Variety, "Supergirl" executive producer Greg Berlanti said that Red Tornado will be associated to General Sam Lane, the father of Lois and Lucy Lane. CBS also announced in early September that actor Glenn Morshower of "X-Men: First Class" and "Transformers: Dark of the Moon" will play the part of General Lane. He will be the one to recruit Supergirl to assist with a classified government mission.

Supergirl premiers on Oct. 26, Monday, at 8:30/7:30 on CBS. The series will follow the story of Kara Zor-El played by Melissa Benoist. Kara also came from the planet Krypton just like her cousin Superman. She was able to leave the planet when she was about to hit her teenager years. However, she got lost along the journey in the Phantom Zone and only reached Earth many years after.

On Earth, she grows up with her adoptive family but had always been kept in the shadow of her foster sister Alex Danvers, to be played by "Grey's Anatomy" actress Chyler Leigh. Kara had always kept her powers hidden as a teenager. She continues to live this way up until she lands a job as an assistant for Catco Worldwide media Mogul Cat Grant played by Calista Flockhart.

After one compelling event, which has not yet leaked, Kara will finally embrace her superhero powers. She will take on the extraordinary task of safeguarding Earth from aliens. To help her along with her superhero journey is Daily Planet photographer James Olsen, to be played by "True Blood" actor Mehcad Brooks. Also playing a significant part to Supergirl's journey is Operations DEO and its head Hank Henshaw, to be played by "Homeland" actor David Harewood.

Supergirl will also have guest casts which include Jenna Dewan-Tatum as Lucy lane, the younger sister of Lois Lane. Chris Browning will also appear as guest, playing Ben Krull or the Reactron. Peter Facinelli will also appear as billionaire troublemaker Maxwell Lord.
