Heading into the WWE pay-per-view Night of Champions, there is one non-title match that is equally exciting to follow.
Of course, this has to do with the scheduled six-man tag match between the Wyatt Family composed of Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper and Braun Strowman against Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns.
Do take note that the bill is set for a six-man tag and if you count the protagonists, there are only five. A mystery third man is set to join Ambrose and Reigns, a piece that has left many thinking.
There were plenty of names mentioned before. The list includes Reigns’ cousin the Rock, Randy Orton, Chris Jericho, Kane and even a former Wyatt family member in Erick Rowan.
Of that list, Orton and Rowan are unlikely seeing that the Viper was technically taken out of the picture. Rowan on the other hand is still in sick bay.
Kane and Jericho could be stand-ins, seeing that both have a beef to settle with the Wyatt Family as well but until now, there is no word or belief that the two have the inside track.
How about Baron Corbin? Baron Who?
Corbin is a WWE NXT star whose picture cropped up alongside Reigns and Ambrose. The WWE has since claimed that the sudden appearance of Corbin was purely accidental and is not likely to be third member.
Accidental or not, Corbin would have been a sensible choice seeing that he has the size and power to help even things out for that match, particularly when it comes to matching up with Strowman.
So the list goes on and now other names are being inserted into the fray. Samoa Joe, Daniel Bryan and Finn Balor have been included in the guessing game but thus far, no dice.
The only lead people have right now is to fit in a wrestler (with the same pose) into the blank portrait for the promo material of that match which can be found at WWE.com.
Reigns and Ambrose were in an interview with JoJo who tried to find out the real identity of the third partner.
The end was seeing Ambrose and Reigns playing the mind games as well, mentioning the names of the Great Kahli and even Savio Vega as the possible third partner.
In the end, it was obvious that the two were not saying to keep the WWE Universe and the Wyatt’s wondering who it will actually be.
So unless something happens at WWE Smackdown, the identity of that third member may very well be known on the day itself – WWE Night of Champions which takes place at the Toyota Center in Houston this coming Sunday starting at 8 pm E.T. and 5 p.m. PT.
