Lil Wayne recently gave an update on his much-delayed studio album, "Tha Carter V."
During his guest appearance on Cari Champion's ESPN Radio podcast, "Be Honest," the New Orleans emcee revealed that he finally completed the highly anticipated record and is currently working on a deal to release it.
"I work every single day. I'm in the studio every single day. I'm not working on any certain thing, I just be working. So for me to say this or that, I'd be lying," he said. "I do have 'Tha Carter V' finished, though. What I am working on right now is a way, a deal and a comfortable deal to put 'Tha Carter V' out."
In December 2014, Wayne took to his Twitter account to blast his label Cash Money Records and its CEO Birdman for refusing to drop "Tha Carter V," which was delayed several times throughout the year.

Lil Tunechi then filed a lawsuit in January for $51 million, saying that he wanted to be freed from the label and Baby that owe him over $10 million for the delay.
Meanwhile, the "Selsun Blue" rapper managed to release a mixtape, titled "Sorry 4 the Wait 2," in January and "Free Weezy Album" in July for fans, who have been anxiously waiting for the fifth installment of "Tha Carter" series since 2013 -- the two projects were dropped to compensate for the delay.
In May 2014, Wayne also released the lead single off "Tha Carter V," "Believe Me" featuring Drake. The track was certified platinum in February after it sold over one million copies.
In addition, Weezy was asked whether or not he thinks he is a better rapper than Drizzy and made it clear his protégé is no match for him during his chat with Champion.
"Man, I annihilate that guy," he replied.
