Kristen Stewart may be dating Alicia Cargile, but she is apparently still torn up over her failed relationship with British heartthrob Robert Pattinson.

The "American Ultra" actress revealed she is still heartbroken over the disastrous public separation between her and her former co-star at the Toronto International Film Festival promoting her latest film "Equals" on Sunday, Sept. 13.

The high-profile split after Kristen was caught cheating on the Robert with "Snow White and The Huntsman" director Rupert Sanders. Shortly after, the couple tried to rekindle their old flame, but it fizzled out in 2013.

When asked by the Daily Beast about her former beau and the relationship, she replied, "It was incredibly painful.Ugh, f**king kill me."

Her "Equals" co-star could also relate to heartbreak. Nicholas Hoult split from Jennifer Lawrence in August 2014 while he was filming in Japan, according to US Weekly.

"Equals" is dramatic, sci-fi film centered around a futuristic love story set in a world where emotions no longer exist.

Stewart says her and Hoult were able to draw from their romantic histories to prepare for the new role. "We all felt akin by how much we've been through, and to utilize that is so scary. And to acknowledge it, reassess, and jump back into it? Usually you want to move on. But at least we could use some of that for some good," confessed Kristen.

"This movie was a meditation on firsts, and a meditation on maintaining, and a meditation on the ebbs and flows of what it's like to love someone-your feelings versus your ideals, the bursting of bubbles, the shattering of dreams you thought were possible, and what you have to contend with as things get more realistic."

She also added "Relationships - you just never f**king know."

But Kristen is hoping this film can help the broken-hearted. She told the Daily Beast, she hopes viewers learns that they can in fact love again. "If you've been hurt-you know when you've broken up with someone and you look at someone walking down the street holding hands and think, 'Ugh, give it a f-kin' year. Let me know how you feel in a year.' Ugh, I don't believe in that. Well, if we did our jobs right, then it would be to remind you that you can definitely get back to that, and how hard, amazing, and life-fulfilling those feelings were in the very beginning.

"Equals" hits theaters this New Year's Eve.
