After being named early in the year as one of the top-10-highest-paid athletes, one has to wonder how much Rousey is indeed racking in.

Rousey has kept herself busy and while a large chunk of those estimates from Forbes.com would likely exclude how much the reigning UFC Women’s champ is earning, could the figures be enough to earn her the highest paid athlete title?

The athlete recently appeared at ‘The Ellen Show’ opposite host Ellen Degeneres and revealed that she was indeed getting paid a lot of money whenever she steps into the Octagon. But the thing is, no definite amount or numbers were divulged.

"I'm the highest paid fighter in the UFC," Rousey said via Fox Sports. "It's pretty cool. It's fun to say."

Given her popularity and the draw she give to the UFC, it is not hard to imagine the fat pay which includes bonuses would be.

In one of her fights, the one against Cat Zingano last February, it was reported that Rousey took home $130,000. But those figures do not include the PPV earnings. Bulk of the salary that Rousey would be getting would be of course come from the PPV income.

In her last fight against Bethe Correia, no numbers were revealed. But seeing how the fight was reportedly one of the biggest pay-per-view events in the UFC, it doesn’t come as a surprise if Rousey ends up racking in another a lot of income from that one as well.

So how about her upcoming fight against Holly Holm which will be held in Australia in November? This early, the word around is that he said main event for UFC 193 will break an all-time attendance record with more than 70,000 fans expected to be on hand.

That report from Forbes.com did reveal that Rousey earned about $6.5 million for the previous year but those numbers are only estimates and may not include what she actually receives from the UFC.

While the claim on whether Rousey is indeed a highest paid athlete is up for debate, the only thing certain right now is that perhaps she is but in the UFC scene. Such is apparently due to the enormous popularity she brings and such should continue as long as she remains in active duty.

Aside from the UFC, Rousey holds a busy schedule in the film industry. The reigning UFC Women’s champ is expected to appear in the film remake of ‘Roadhouse’. Aside from the remake, she will also be appearing in a some other films like "My Fight/ Your Fight," "The Athena Project," and "Mile 22."
