Adele may have been delaying the release of her third studio album, "25," because she reportedly does not feel confident about how it sounds.
In an interview with The Sun recently, Blur frontman Damon Albarn claimed to have collaborated with his fellow Brit on five tracks but is uncertain whether his contribution will actually make the final cut.
"Adele asked me to work with her and I took the time out for her. I'm not a producer, so... I don't know what is happening really," he said. "Will she use any of the stuff? I don't think so. Let's wait and see."
The rocker then described the current state of the "Rolling in the Deep" hitmaker: "The thing is she's very insecure. And she doesn't need to be, she's still so young."
"I heard the work she did with my friend Brian, aka Danger Mouse," he added before warning the upcoming record is "very middle of the road."
Moreover, Albarn won't be the only artist Adele has snubbed for the follow-up to 2011's "21." Earlier this month, Sia revealed to radio station RTV Slovenija, via Billboard, a single she co-wrote, titled "Alive," was "rejected at the last minute."
The Australian singer added the track was about "[Adele's] life, so I now sing a song from her perspective."
Meanwhile, it looks like fans will finally be able to listen to the anxiously awaited LP this fall.
A cover line on Entertainment Weekly's September issue, which features Lady Gaga, teases the release date of Adele's new project.
"Fall Music Preview: New Albums From Adele / Prince / Disclosure / Lana Del Rey," the publication states.

Similarly, Billboard reported: "A new set of music may finally materialize this fall -- the label is planning on a November release."
