Since its announcement back in 2006, the "Warcraft" movie has had many rumors and alleged leaks all over the internet. Blizzard Entertainment and Legendary Pictures had been slow and careful in making this dream of a movie ever since, giving eager fans bits and pieces of its progress. With the pace of the movie's development, unofficial leaks are bound to catch the attention of impatient fans.
According to VG247, the people behind the "Warcraft" movie are too dense to notice that fans are growing tired of waiting for an official trailer of the movie. This has led one of the said fans to leak the alleged movie trailer shown to a private few during the San Diego Comic-Con 2015. The video went viral despite watermarks and substandard audio. Seen on the "unofficial" trailer are some of the characters, environment and creatures to be expected in the movie.
Whether a good thing or bad news, the movie's director Duncan Jones has noticed the putative trailer, according to Ecumenical News. More often than not, the studio involved in the movie will release an official trailer once a leaked trailer pops up on the internet. Such is the case with Warner Bros. "Suicide Squad" right after the SDCC. Jones seemed unshaken when he tweeted "I wish we could show the real thing." The latest update is that the official "Warcraft" movie trailer will follow the plan of a November release.
According to a report from Game Spot from last year, Jones described the "Warcraft" movie to be like "Avatar and Lord of the Rings at the same time." With a medieval fantasy age as the movie's setting, there is truth to this claim. Such is also the fact with J.R.R. Tolkien's world-renowned "Lord of the Rings" series.
Holding their ground despite a circulating leak, Legendary Pictures and Blizzard Entertainment will continue to tease and/or torture fans until that day in November when an official trailer will be out for public viewing. Somehow, this did not sway fans to abandon hope, now that they have seen the video, despite its poor quality. As seen, the movie relied heavily on CGI and prosthetics to bring to life what gamers have been playing since 1994. Should the movie developers spare any expense, disappointed fans will rally and probably cause a riot.
