This guy created a truly magical proposal for his girlfriend. While performing at the Ediburgh Fringe Festival, last weekend, magician Neil Henry shocked his bride-to-be in the most creative of fashions.
The illusionist swallowed an entire can of alphabet soup and then asked for his lady, Charlie Gardner, to jump on stage and read the letters aloud as he pulled a few out of his mouth on a piece of string.
She began with the first letter "M" and laughed. She continued to giggle as he pulled out "A." Upon pulling out "R" she laughed, "You're not are you?" Upon hitting the second "R" she began to freak out. "Oh, sh*t, you're kidding me!" Once Neil pulled out the "Y" to finish the word "marry" Charlie completely lost it. "Oh, my God!" she exclaimed before covering her face with her hands.
The crowd cheered and clapped as Neil finished the entire phrase - yanking out the "M" and "E" from his mouth. Charlie began to laugh and cry all at the same time as Neil turned to her and the pair hugged.
This was just the beginning. Neil then moved onto actual words and before moving to his final trick. He turned to his fiancé and said, "Having you in my life is real magic, and I never want that magic to end." He got down on one knee and ignited a piece of paper, which he then turned into a jewelry box with an engagement ring inside. "Of course I will!" replied Gardner.
What an ending!
This magical proposal has gone viral in just a matter of days. The video was uploaded on Aug. 25 to YouTube and to date has received over 840,000 views. The proposal received cute and cheeky responses like , "He turned a girlfriend into a fiance right in front of the entire audience. Pretty impressive trick! I think I know how he did it, though..." and "This video made my day. It's so positive. Omg, I'm [smiling] to my laptop right now."
The couple was also featured in Scotland's "Daily Record." Charlie admitted to the publication, she ""didn't know this would happen at all. I haven't even told my mum yet."
Neil reportedly marked a truly special day for both him and his bride-to-be, as he proposed on the second anniversary of the day they met in Edinburgh.
