There are only few hours to go before the much anticipated MTV VMAs 2015 kicks off. Here are what you need to know before the actual event:
MTV VMAs 2015 will begin at 9p.m. ET and will brhosted by Miley Cyrus, the winner of 2014's Video of the Year.
The Weekend will sing "Can't feel My Face."
Pharrell, Demi Lovato, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, Tori Kelly, A$Ap Rocky, Twenty One Pilots and Justin Bieber will all be performing during the actual broadcast.
A jaw-dropping performance by Nicki Minaj will kick start the show.
As for the Video of the Year, the nominees are Beyonce's "7/11;" Kendrick Lamar for "Alright," Mark Ronson for "Uptown Funk," Ed Sheeran for "Thinking Out Loud," and Taylor Swift for "Bad Blood."

As confirmed by Gil Kaufman, the presenters for the show will be Britney Spears, Rita Ora, Miguel, John Legend, Ne-Yo, Ice Cube (and his son and "Straight Outta Compton" star, O'Shea Jackson, Jr.), Rebel Wilson, Serayah and "Empire" star Jussie Smollett, Emily Ratajkowski and Kylie Jenner.
Artists with confirmed attendance included Fifth Harmony, Big Sean, Bruno Mars, Charlie Puth, Colbie Caillat, E-40, Fall Out Boy, FKA Twigs, Mark Ronson, OMI, Vance Joy and Wale.
All in all there would be a total of 47 celebrities attending the event. Those are just the confirmed attendances.
As Kaufman puts it, "You never know who will surprise us, drop in out of the blue or just flat crash the party at the last minute."
Kelly Osbourne will be hosting the pre-show together with Sway and "Girl Code Live" stars Carly Aquilino, Nessa Diab and Nora "Awkwafina" Lum.
Nick Jonas and Walk The Moon will play during the pre-show.
Taylor Swift's "Wildest Dreams" music video will also be played during the pre-show which will start at 8pm ET/PT.

The website will also be streaming extended set from selected performers starting on Sunday at 6 pm ET.
US Weekly meanwhile got a hold of the event's seat plan released on Friday.
Miley Cyrus, while she is not hosting, will be seated in between Britney Spears and Kylie Jenner.
Justin Bieber will be in the front-row, directly behind him are Big Sean and E-40.
Taylor Swift will also be seated in the front row, a few seats from Gigi Hadid and Nick Jonas.
Pharrell will be seated close to Demi Lovato, Colbie Caillat and Rita Ora. The latter will be seated next to Kelly Osbourne.
Nick Jonas, who happens to be Miley Cyrus's ex, teased ahead of the MTV VMAs 2015. Speaking with Billboard, Jonas said that Cyrus hosting the event is "probably the most I've been looking forward to the VMAs in a long time, for that reason."
He added that people should "expect the unexpected."
Asked if there would be some racy moments during the event, Jonas teased more by saying "I'm sure there will be. There will be a lot of those."
