Ariana Grande is under fire with rumors that she is going bald. The pop star is reportedly covering her bald patches with fake hair.
Speculations about Ariana Grande's hair have resurfaced. Apart from her songs and energetic performances onstage, one of Ariana Grande's signature styles is her high ponytail. However, according to an article by Celebrity Dirty Laundry, Ari's infamous ponytail is fake. There are rumors that the real reason why Ariana wears a fake ponytail is to cover up all the bald spots on top of her head.
The "One More Time" singer has always been open about wearing extensions. She mentioned that her hair looks "rachet and absurd" when she lets it down. The singer has since blamed her hair problems on her Nickelodeon sitcom stints "Victorious" and "Sam & Cat." Her character used to have fire engine red hair that needed weekly bleaching and dying sessions.
A source revealed that Ariana's hair is getting worse, and the singer is on the verge of getting bald. The source dished that Ari is worried that if she tried any other hairstyle, her bald patches will show.
"Her hair is a mess, what is left of it anyway. It is destroyed at the ends and patchy on top. She is scared that if she tries another hair style, her bald patches will show," the source said.
Everyone seems to be giving Ariana a hard time because of her fake hair rumors, so she took the time to explain herself, Sugarscape reported.
"Since people give me such a hard time about my hair, I thought I'd take the time to explain the whole situation to everybody. I had to bleach my hair and dye it red every other week for the first four years of playing Cat... as one would assume, that completely destroyed my hair. I now wear a wig on Sam & Cat," Ariana explained.
Ariana admitted that she tried different ways like wigs and weaves but they didn't work for her. She said further that as annoying as it might be for some to see her in the same hairstyle over and over again, it's the one that she's comfortable with for the first time in years. Ari then asked people to "give her a break" because it's hard enough to patiently wait for her natural hair to grow back and to no longer wear fake hair.
Ariana is currently busy with her 2015 Honeymoon World Tour. The singer last performed in Jakarta, Indonesia.
