Photos of the gunman who killed a news reporter and photographer surface in wake of manhunt.

WSLS 10 Roanoke has captured blurry images of a suspected killer on the run. The stills were lifted from the camera of the photographer who was shot Wednesday morning.

During a live feed of WDBJ 7 News, a reporter and photographer were gunned down. Reporter Alison Parker was conducting an on-air interview at the ... when gunshots ring out. In a disturbing video posted online, screams are heard as several gunshots are fired. The camera then falls to the ground. The feed returns to the in-studio anchor who looks shocked and confused.

The Franklin County Sheriff Department confirmed three people were killed in the incident - Alison Parker, 24, and her photographer, Adam Ward, 27, being two of them.

NBC News, writes, fellow colleagues of Parker and Ward appeared shocked by the tragic events. Both Ward and Parker were dating colleagues of WDBJ News.

Ward was engaged to producer Melissa Ott.

Parker had just moved in with evening anchor Chris Hurst. The pair had been dating for 9 months. Hurst took to his Twitter to express his grief. "I am numb" he wrote. He also saus Parker was the "most radiant woman he had ever met" and "We were together almost nine months. It was the best nine months of our lives."

WDBJ's general manager, Jeffrey Marks, also shared his sentiments. Marks said the pair were "special people" who did "great work everyday."

He went on to question the reasoning behind the heinous act. "How can this individual have robbed these families, the families of Allison and Adam, of their lives and their happiness and their love for whatever reason?" Marks asked. "They would brighten up a room every morning."

Over Twitter he also posted a photograph of the pair with the caption "We Love You, Alison and Adam"

At this time, The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms are also conducting a manhunt. State police say the shooter has not been apprehended, however they encourage anyone with any information to call 911 or the Franklin County Sheriff's Office at 540-483-3000
