Action and pure machismo - these are what "The Expendables" franchise has brought to fans who wish to relive the glorious days of action movies (and heroes) from the eighties and nineties. Sadly, the third installment failed to deliver such claims, even with big stars and sports icons on the roster. Despite this fact, "The Expendables 4" is in the works to redeem the franchise, and rumor has it that Hulk Hogan will join in as the new villain.

According to Wrestling Inc., Hulk Hogan claimed that he was on the phone with Sylvester Stallone and was talking about a role in the "Expendables 4" movie. This happened a few months ago at the NEC Arena in Birmingham, England during the Body Power Expo.

"We're trying to figure out a way to maybe turn me into the most evil man in the world," Hulk Hogan said. "Y'know, Stallone gave me my first break and he's been a great friend for all these years ... We had a great conversation, talking about the possibilities. Can I still run, can I still jump? Well, not as fast or not as high, but I think Hollywood could find a good stunt man to help me out."

Other than the rumored addition of a veteran wrestler, Jason Statham said he would love to work on more "Expendables" movies, according to IGN.

According to an interview with Arnold Schwarzenegger from USA Today, there is still room for one more movie in the franchise. "I just think it's a terrific franchise. I told Sly to write another one or have someone else write another one. A really terrific story because I think it's a great idea to have an ensemble piece with that many action heroes in a movie. Especially if the comedy is really done well, it could be a great story. There's definitely room for another one."

Even with Ronda Rousey, Wesley Snipes, Mel Gibson and Antonio Banderas in the roster, the third movie was a catastrophe. This was due to a leaked copy of the movie that spread all over the internet three weeks before its release. As a result, "The Expendables 3" struggled in the box office with only a total of $206 million worldwide, and only $15.9 million on the opening.

"The Expendables 4" is currently in the works, and the rumor mill is hard at work. One such speculation included the name of Manny Pacquiao, but there is still no confirmation from the Fighting Congressman. More information about the movie is forthcoming, so stay posted.
