The defending European Champions head into their match against Juventus playing, arguably, their worst soccer of the year.

Chelsea has now gone four straight matches without a win in the English Premier League and are now in third place on the table.

A 3-2 loss to Manchester United seemed to alert rivals as to how to shut down the Blues and since then they have scored just three times in three matches and have drawn twice while losing once. Despite scoring in the last UCL match against Shakhtar Donetsk, striker Fernando Torres has not scored in five Premier league matches despite starting all of them and playing at least 60 minutes in each of them.

Fortunately Juan Mata has consistently provided assists for the team on a weekly basis but they need more to step up to the scene. The win against Shakhtar Donetsk salvaged some points for them and if they defeat Juventus they book a spot in the round of 16 with one match pending against the worst team in the group.

Juventus won their first UCL match two weeks ago against Nordjaelland and it seemed to set them off on a scoring rampage in their subsequent match to US Pescara. They are coming off a 0-0 draw to Lazio and will be excited to play home against Chelsea where they have won five, drawn one, and lost one in the Serie A.

The last time these teams met Juventus came back from down 2-0 to earn a draw against Chelsea.

Prediction: Chelsea is awful of late and on the road against a confident Juventus team that knows they must win if they have any hopes of making it to the next round. However, these teams will probably play to a 1-1 draw.
