WWE SummerSlam is just a couple of days away and this early, rumors are flying like crazy.

While most people are eager to see the carnage that will take place in the match pitting Brock Lesnar and the Undertaker, there could be some ‘spices’ in the other matches.

There is that alleged heel-turn of Dean Ambrose on buddy Roman Reigns as the two set to face off against Bray Wyatt and Luke Harper though new developments could douse water on that alleged turn.

However, that may not be the only twist happening this Sunday. Seth Rollins will be facing off against John Cena in a winner-take-all match though it seems that the eventual outcome would see both champions holding on to their respective belts at the end of the match.

Cena will retain his United States title and so with Seth Rollins staying on as WWE Heavyweight champion.

Rollins’ reign could end a couple of minutes after that event. This is if Mr. Money in the Bank, Sheamus, does indeed cash in at WWE SummerSlam.

If so, it would be the second attempt for Sheamus after a botched attempt in a previous WWE show. But the rumored development gets even interesting with word that the Authority would be siding with Sheamus over Rollins from there.

With that idea in mind, it seems likely that Sheamus would win the WWE title at WWE SummerSlam. Could this be the moment where Rollins will become a face wrestler?

If such happens, it seems only imminent that Rollins will complain to Triple H and the Authority. And from here, a previous plan which would see Rollins face off against Triple H may finally be happening. Maybe at WWE Night of Champions?

Recall that a Triple H vs. Seth Rollins feud was believed to be in the works for WWE SummerSlam but such never happened. This time though, and if rumors are accurate, it could finally take place.

If not for a one-on-one, it could be a faction fight. Rollins could end up re-aligning with Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose who will go up against the Authority. Should this be the case, Ambrose’s turn to heel may not happen after all.

Again, all these are rumored storylines. They may or may not happen. Most of the matches seem to be intertwined at WWE SummerSlam so it may be wise to keep tabs on the results of each match.

WWE SummerSlam is set for Sunday, August 23, at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. The WWE Network will air the event live starting at 7 p.m. ET and 4 p.m. P.T.
